The good thing about these tiny knobs is that they are nice to look at. However, from there on, it was a downhill slide for me.First, based on the stated length (in inches) of the supplied screws, I anticipated that I would need a few longer screws for the kitchen drawers that measure approximately 1.4 inches in thickness. I assumed the threads were an #8-32 screw size, since the supplied screws were called out in inches of length. WRONG. these are metric screws (M4x0.7), making that purchase a waste of 8 bucks. Next up were the cabinet doors that measure approximately 0.66 inches in thickness and I therefore felt confident that the stated 0.79 inch long screws would be a fine fit. WRONG. the shortest screws supplied are 0.88" long, not 0.79". This still wouldn't be a problem if the knobs would allow even a quarter of an inch of screw depth, but they don't. You can only screw less than 0.2" into the knob before it bottoms out. WHAT? Standard metric sizes at my local hardware stores (and even online shops) only carry metric screws in 5 mm increments. That's 0.2 inch increments, and therefore there is no standard metric size screw that will accomodate a 0.66 thick cabinet door.While I appreciate the fact that most people won't have a problem with screw length, since the three included lengths probably handle most situations, it is rude that the depth of thread in these knobs are so short that I am left with no way to purchase standard sized metric screws that work for me. And while I have tools that can cut off #4 through #10 screws, it is not worth buying a tool to custom cut metric sized screws. Very few of the knobs sold on ebay state the screw size (whether 4mm or #8-32), but it sure would be nice to be aware of such information before wasting my money.
