I don't know if it's just me. But I have ordered 4 of these switches for our bedrooms and the light switch part keeps failing either due to a strong spark or a burning smell coming from the switch or it just doesn't work every now and then and this all develops within the first year of the Use. for the money this switch is worth it. I expected a lot more. Since the fan select part still works fine, I installed and wired a 2 piece box and a regular 15A$3 single pole toggle switch, leaving that switch fixed but still able to use the fan switch. It's scary that I had to hear my 8 year old daughter or 5 year old son say dad something weird is happening to my light when I turn it on and off.
