I think Fat Max cartridges are slipping into a world of mediocrity! I've been a carpenter for twenty years and always use thick tape. The last few I bought weren't the same caliber as the last few, maybe it's a Covid related issue? Regardless, the blade is thinner, flatter, and doesn't extend the expected distance! They seem to break much easier. My last one seemed a bit twisted at the end but I told myself I must have done something when I first got it but after I broke it two months later and just opened this new one I realized that I wasn't the ball! I can't believe I'm saying this but I'm considering buying a Masters blade guard, for the first time in my career I won't be using a thick Max. Unfortunately!
