I bought this because one of our dogs is a sneaky little turd and I came home early from work and found cat litter stuck in the carpet after eating it. As the dog watched me put this thing together, I felt smug satisfaction in knowing I was defeating my enemy. The next morning I went to work knowing full well that I wouldn't be returning home to the cat rug, but because my cat exhibits odd behavior: after burying its little nuggets, it starts scratching the sidewall next to the trash. Boxed for a solid minute, eventually pushing the door open and the dog was already there waiting for her. I had to hook a latch on the outside of the door so the kitten couldn't accidentally open the door and let a sneaky thief in. After that everything is perfect now. It's like Kitty is a VIP at the club when she enters her booth. I was hoping that this crate would also help reduce the amount of litter the cat is chasing on the floor, but I'm starting to think she's going in there and starting karate right away because she manages to litter to scatter everywhere. I will say that it is much less than before. The crate looks like a regular storage closet too, so I'm pretty sure I can leave it in the living room and no one entering the house will find out about the stinky horrors it contains, so that's a nice bonus. In general an excellent purchase.
