OK, depending on what you want

So here's the short version, details below: Pros: Video (good pace, easy to watch) Book is very portable (pocket size, fits easily in my paper briefcase) Projects are cool gives tiny finished parts) ) The booklet is difficult to read without seeing the DVD. This is a "mini set" and is truly "mini" in every way. There are 6 designs included in the brochure and DVD, one of which is a variation of the previous design. , so if you're looking for lots of templates, look elsewhere. It's also quite small. The booklet is the same size as a DVD case and has 32 pages. Although the description says 48 sheets (and it really is). 48), this number seems strange to me, since the completion of all 6 projects would actually require exactly 50 papers. I don't understand why they don't include enough for all projects when there are only 2 less. Will adding 2 extra leaves kill them? The paper size is 3.5 inches, so the items you make will be mini (for example, the Harlequin Cube project is 1.25 inches). As for the quality of the paper, it's not good for origami. It's glossy and smooth, and it's about the same weight as decent quality wrapping paper, making it difficult to work with. It's almost impossible to put the pieces together as the tabs slip out of the pockets. I think if you have regular origami paper of any size you better try it on it. When I tried them with plain paper, they were much easier to put together and held up well once assembled. It took me a while to figure out which colors to use on which project to get it right as they all come in different quantities, ranging from 2 sheets to 13 sheets of 6 different colors I had to skip one of the projects because I didn't have enough two articles Due to the small size of the booklet, the words that tell you what to do are minimal. They recommend watching the video and after that the diagrams were enough to complete the projects. The problem is that I got it for school use and the DVD wouldn't play on the school computer. The laptop worked fine at home. Without a video, the instructions seem difficult to understand. The videos are VERY good. They use a lot of geometry vocabulary and it would be great if I could play it with my students. The pace is slow enough to work with the teacher and he uses full size paper (which I will use for my students as well, it will be easier to work with). Additional tips are provided in the video and the images in the book do not reflect the actual end product in Pinwheel and Dado the Hedgehog. They look flat in the photo, but they're not. They are way cooler than I thought I could see when I watched the video. All in all, it depends on what you want it for. The designs are pretty cool, but the booklet and paper quality alone would only get 1 or 2 stars at most. The video bumped it up to 3 for me (no more as I can't play it on the computer I need it for).
