They work well in car headlights. When my wife returned to our house just after sunset, she noticed from afar that I was jogging along the side of the road; it works. I'm taking off a star because the stitching on some velcro has frayed (after a couple of weeks). but not that bad. I expect to get good use of this item for at least a year or two (maybe more). This won't protect you from a drunk or otherwise weak driver, but it will increase your chances of being noticed before it's too late. IMO this is a good and small investment for your own safety.
