So I installed the version 9 radio for the first time in October 2019 and it was absolutely amazing, I liked all the new features compared to the stock radio. The sound quality was definitely not as clear and loud, but it was worth the loss to have the features of this main unit. The other day I started skipping a song, so I turned the device off and it wouldn't turn back on. I emailed customer service and tried everything but still didn't work (I have years of experience with automotive electrics/electronics). On impulse I just bought a new block (version 10). I didn't get any response from customer service about my broken original and I suspect the old unit somehow burned out after not receiving anything (only after two years, not good). A new one came, and the rear camera screen was stuck and wouldn't come loose. After reading a few forums I found out it was a small red box with a wire harness attached (it was very hot from working so long) so I just replaced it with a red box from my old unit and it works great . Love the new layout and software and it's definitely MUCH louder than the -9 version. I really like this radio, especially with the CarPlay function. I'm just very disappointed that my old unit didn't even last 2 years and the new one came with broken/faulty parts. I just pray this new version lasts longer than my 9 version! They're expensive and not always the best, but so are Apple products and somehow we remain loyal to the brand. It's just a shame they did the right thing with their customers. I would give it 3/5 because it's a really good product AS UPDATE, but it's not the best product in terms of hardware, materials and customer support. Hope that helps!
