Bought these to replace the hard to find intermediate base incandescent bulbs in a Hampton Bay ceiling fan. Why fan manufacturers use these weird lightbulbs is beyond me. They are exactly the same size as the A15 intermediate base bulbs you will find. Difficult to find LED bulbs of this size. You won't be disappointed. With 5 watts per bulb, they significantly reduce consumption compared to a standard 40 watt bulb. They are rated at 450 lumens. Standard 40W lamps typically have a luminous flux of 300 lumens. As a result, they are brighter than a standard 40 watt soft white bulb. All in all they're working great so far and I'm sure the cumulative effect of replacing all my old lightbulbs with LEDs like these will pay off in the long run.
