Review on ☕ Silver West Bend 54159 Classic Stainless Steel Electric Coffee Percolator with Detachable Cord, Heat-Resistant Handle and Base, 12-Cup Capacity by Russ Conrad

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Let's get back to making coffee, how it should be made.

As many reviewers pointed out, when I bought a percolator coffee maker I didn't know which brand to go for. I've read the reviews and stayed away from the ones that had an aluminum nut on the bottom, but I couldn't escape the ubiquitous fact that these coffee makers are all made in China. So I put caution aside and went with this brand because I really wanted a percolator. I couldn't wait to see, hear and smell the hot water rising through the central shaft to the clearly visible top. I wasn't disappointed in either the taste or the overall experience living through the happiest part of my youth (waking up to the smell of coffee my dad had brewed on his old and cheap aluminum glass top coffee maker). a filter that we used on another brand and type of coffee maker, we ground a special bean mix and the taste was amazing. No sour aftertaste, no need to dilute the coffee (uses 6.5 teaspoons for 8 cups of filtered water) and the best part about this whole positive experience is I didn't have to convince my wife to remove the other coffee maker, she did it it itself!. Now she has switched to percolator coffee machines. West Bend, you did not disappoint! Now I wake up earlier to make sure I have a drink and enjoy my first cup as each day I enjoy sharing some of my happier times with my dad with something we both loved to share early in the morning. una copa the cafe!
