Much cheaper than a Dorman inlet. It has built in spacers (just like the gm LS style) which is a reasonable improvement. The quality is very good. No sharp edges. Everything builds up. BUT as with the Dorman you lose some peak performance compared to the Ford Racing replacement which is the only pickup available from Ford for the PI 4.6 head. This is your alternative choice for twice the money or more. I bought it and installed it on my 01 p71 which I am selling. I wanted to keep the nice new Ford Racing air intake I installed last year so I could have a direct comparison after replacing it. This Amazon trick seems like more power from the grid and less max (the fence is physically smaller and shouldn't leak either) to most people who care. This will likely result in better fuel economy depending on how well it drives at low rpm compared to the Ford intake. Some minor complaints. A simple piece of paper describing the screws would be helpful. (This inlet doesn't reuse all of the Ford factory hardware, instead using a couple of self-tapping screws for the less important screws, but you'll have to work out which ones go where because they're not all the same. I figured some of the self-tapping screws showed up too long and added washers.
