Review on Avantree Alto Clair: Bluetooth 5.0 Headset with Mic, Mute, Hi-Fi Music - Best for PC, Laptop, Skype, TV by Niranjan Reynolds

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good start.: Headphones

.but a bad ending. (UPDATE): After checking the manufacturer's website for product support assistance, I contacted Revain Customer Service to see what my warranty options are. They put me in touch with the manufacturer and emailed them troubleshooting steps that I didn't see on their website. It turns out that if your headset is "locked" then you need to plug the USB Type-C charging cable directly into the headset to "unlock" it. Went like clockwork. Connected to my computer with no problems and I used it for the rest of the day. 10/10 for Avantree's responsiveness and help, 10/10 for Revain's customer service and I will continue to use the headset. They paired beautifully with my laptop's Bluetooth transmitter and I never had any connection issues initially. The sound quality and comfort are above average and (obviously based on your internet connection) everyone on the other end had no problem hearing and understanding me. However, about three weeks ago I noticed that the headset keeps disconnecting from the PC intermittently and I have to toggle the Bluetooth settings on my computer until it reconnects. Over time, this situation became more and more frequent, until recently the red stopped light came on. It looks like the transmitter in the headset is dead and that's it. You would think that for $100 they would last more than four months. Do yourself a favor if you buy them, bring your warranty plan with you as they will most likely fall on you within the first year of daily use. Buyer Warning.
