Quick Easy and Simple

I bought this to fix a leaking toilet. After playing around with the original components for an hour, I decided to bite the bullet and swap out the parts. Before you go any further, you should know that the MOST thing I did to the toilet was remove the lid and wiggle the chain until it "clicked". So until this week, I knew very little about repairing or replacing toilet cistern parts. When I opened the package, I immediately went to the instructions. I REALLY didn't want to screw it up and possibly end up with a broken toilet. I am happy to report that the instructions included pictures/images and text and were very easy to follow. To tell the truth, there were several times I thought it was too easy and moved on without addressing the plans - a bad move that caused confusion. But going back to the instructions quickly fixed that. I took out the old components and installed the new components in 15 minutes. I then spent the next 5 minutes adjusting the flush volume and water volume. The truth is I could have stopped at the 15 minute mark and it was fine, but when you invest in components designed to improve efficiency and save water you're wasting an extra 5 minutes to to justify your money. After everything was set to my liking, I checked my watch and was amazed at how quickly I got everything done. I was very surprised. The device is terribly loud and not very quiet. It's about the noise level of your regular toilet, maybe a little quieter, but nothing that draws attention or makes you say "It's quiet". The tank has the ability to fill up quickly. However, it's worth noting that filling quickly will result in more noise as more water enters the tank. Selecting "Slow Fill" will give you a quieter sound, but the noise will last longer. I set the flow to about 7. This gave a slightly smoother experience while still filling the tank fairly quickly. The flush also has a setting that determines how much water goes into the bowl. Worth playing again. When delivered, this was set to Max. I tried "minimum" and was disappointed when I could barely flush more than a few sheets of toilet paper down the toilet. I found my sweet spot at 6, but I bumped it up to 7 for those who really drain the bathroom. I don't mind changing the water flow on the fly, but I won't like filling the bowl because it requires getting to the bottom of the tank. Like I said, I didn't have to cut or glue anything. I've seen other comments mention cutting. The unit can be moved up and down in height if needed, so I'm not even sure what would need to be cut or sliced unless they want to overcomplicate a simple situation. I also remember the comment about the device pushing the top of the toilet. HOW again?! There are no feathers. You rotate the device to change the height. It's like a screw system, it has no springs, and the floating ones sink below the water level with very little weight, so they can't push the lid off the toilet bowl. In short, it's an all-in-one device and it's pretty easy to install and there really isn't anything to think about. The two points I mentioned earlier got me thinking about buying the device, but after purchasing it I came to the conclusion that others may have confused this device with another. Nothing to cut and no springs to lift the lid. Just a simple but effective system. Basically I am satisfied with the device. I was definitely a bit scared, but now I'm confident that if the need arises I'll tackle it again. I FULLY recommend this product.
