I would give this product more than 5 stars if I could. This portable table was exactly what I was looking for. I had very specific criteria, I have a 17 inch gaming laptop which can get a little warm but I'm never home and have constant back pain bending over to finish with the laptop on my lap to become the one that overheats me. The table itself is metal with cutouts for the fan. The metal alone keeps the laptop cool, the fan is a great bonus and it cools your feet underneath too! The fan is quiet and powerful. that both sides are coordinated. The legs are also metal, the buttons to tilt the legs are plastic, the only issue would be if my nails were longer as the button has to be pushed quite far (I see this as a safety feature, like child resistant bottles). The bottom fan connects to your computer with a detachable cable (USB) and has a conveniently located power button, so even if it's always plugged in, it won't always work. Honestly one of my favorites As for the lap table, this one combines quality and value compared to other lap tables. I've been comparing lap tables for my laptop for about three months and have found many plastic and pillow-like rattles, all for a lot more money than I thought was reasonable, albeit slightly cheaper than this one. Every desk I've seen that's made of wood or metal, made for large laptops, or has a dedicated mouse slot or fan has cost well over $100. And then this one showed up. I almost didn't order it because the price was only 15% higher than the cheap options that looked and sounded so disappointing. At double the price, that would still be a good deal.
