I'm desperately trying to find a good way to mark my hand quilts. This product was one of MANY marking methods I tried, all with limited success. First, this chalk doesn't stay on the fabric long enough for me to iron it. It's pretty easy to delete just when handling. The idea is awesome, run your finger over the perforated template and voila, the design is perfect. However, I then have to go over it with a disappearing pen so I have enough time to sew it by hand. What if I don't finish my embroidery on time? Well then I have to try and center the template over the existing stitch and reapply the chalk, go over it again with the disappearing marker etc etc. So my search for the perfect fabric marking method continues and this article fits the bill of all time increasing heaps of rarely used sewing utensils.
