Easy to apply but a little messy

Stuffing the punch pad was pretty easy although it was messy for me. It transferred easily to fabric and was clearly visible on dark fabrics. I could see the chalk on the white fabric I used, but I lost the lines while sewing and came off a bit. However, a powder of a different color would solve this problem. The powder smoothed out, they said. There is powder on the foot of my sewing machine.

Slightly cloudy with a good chance of fog.

Although the product is as described and I am able to get a good pattern with my stencil, I would add that the powder gets very high in the air when used. Especially if the applicator is prepared according to the instructions on the packaging before the first use. It also leaves messy powder everywhere. If you have a dust allergy or sensitivity to dust particles, asthma. You can be careful and put on a mask or have someone do it for you. Chalk also sticks to the skin. Soap and water for washing

Doesn't last as described

I bought this sketch because I hate the blue lines on the top of my quilt from marking with water soluble markers. I read the reviews on the website and here and decided it was worth a try. I had to mark the quilt 3 times with a stencil. The chalk just disappeared and I could barely see it in places. For this single quilt, I also used about half of the powder that came with it. Well ironed - what was left on it. I'd love to try the blue powder and see if it's more beneficial, but I'm hesitant…

I love this stuff, way better than regular white powder.

Ideal for stencil labeling. Also looks beautiful on light colored fabrics. When I think I can't see the marks I use my Frixon pencils. At the end of the ironing process, all marks on both Chapman pins are removed. After reading all the complaints that there was too much powder left, I watched a few YouTube videos and learned how to properly "wipe" the stencils and the best way to load the pad WITHOUT overloading it. There is a right way to do everything, some people just don't take the time to…

Disappointing. for templates and stencils

I'm desperately trying to find a good way to mark my hand quilts. This product was one of MANY marking methods I tried, all with limited success. First, this chalk doesn't stay on the fabric long enough for me to iron it. It's pretty easy to delete just when handling. The idea is awesome, run your finger over the perforated template and voila, the design is perfect. However, I then have to go over it with a disappearing pen so I have enough time to sew it by hand. What if I don't finish my…

MY GOD. HOW DID I DIDN'T KNOW ABOUT THIS PRODUCT A YEAR AGO?

I have been quilting for about 40 years. Mercifully, I started before the tailors! In the beginning, in addition to making plastic templates to cut out pieces of fabric for sewing, like my co-workers I also made all my quilts by hand, mostly using bars of soap to mark my designs. When the long arm machines came out, I remember longingly watching the demonstrations at the quilt shows. When quilters started using their home machines, I eagerly got started making a bunch of practice napkins. I…
