I originally bought an internal pump dehumidifier but it burned out after a year which doesn't seem uncommon for internal pump dehumidifiers so I have this more compact one device found. and connected the drain hose to an external condensate pump that we bought separately for about $50. It worked great in our 800 square meter basement. The bucket is probably a little less than a gallon, so before installing the condensate pump we drained it 3 times a day and could probably do it more often. It works great with the pump and the water is pumped through the hose to the window. In addition, it is attractive, quiet and compact. I've posted some photos to show how I hooked it up to a separate condensate pump.
