Bought this coat for my youngest son after buying myself a coat from the same brand. He loves it and the coat is still holding up. Definitely better than a Walmart or Kohls coat for regular wear. The cost is about the same or a little more, but this coat holds up the winter that much better! He's not a very active boy, but he certainly hasn't been idle this winter since he got his coat. The stitching is even, the zipper is fine, the material does not fray or fray. I think I can see a small hole starting to develop on his back, but I strongly suspect it's from being dragged to the floor or getting stuck in a school locker. I'm pretty confident I can fix it, spray it with some kind of waterproofing agent and it will last another season or until it grows back. The minimal base layer and light sweater underneath kept him warm enough. It snows a lot here in Montana, so it's good to have a coat he can go outside in without hesitation.
