Review on ๐Ÿšด BALEAF Men's Cycling Shorts: 3D Padded for Optimal Road Bike Comfort with Pockets, UPF 50+ by Marc Stewart

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Third of three different pairs I'm reviewing

I'm a very athletic male, 6ft 3in/190lbs and a 20 year old serious cyclist. Pant size 33w/34l I ride 50+ miles 3-4 times a week in the foothills and mountains of East Tennessee. This week I decided to try 3 new cycling shorts: bpbtti for $14.99 (L). I also bought a pair of BALEAF for $26.99 (M) which I am reviewing and RION for $18.99 (M). I read several comments on each pair to understand what size to order. Please see my other reviews for the other two pairs. I've been an avid cyclist and triathlete for years and have worn high and low shorts with good and bad results, regardless of the price. Of course, when reading reviews, you should try to separate the good from the bad. For $27 with very decent reviews it was enough to try These are the most expensive (relatively) of the 3 pairs I'm considering. The view will be updated as I continue to wear these shorts and I'll update as needed so keep checking back. Man, so I rely on a lot of customer reviews. Most Asian shorts manufacturers with sizing charts aren't very helpful here and every body type is different so take the time to read the reviews so you don't have to search for a different size. Look for testimonials from people of similar height and build. This pair hugs the legs and crotch nicely (fits snugly without pulling or moving), with decent padding and stitching in all the right places. The feel is very similar across all coverage areas, which is a big plus. Mid-weight fabric with good stretch. I like the feel and fit so we'll see if they can handle a long ride. My first impression is that these shorts seem to be the best of the three pairs I've tried, but that doesn't always work well with regular use. Good for $27. If I use it, I will adjust the rating of the review. Stay with us. UPDATE: 4/27/20. Took her for a fifty mile ride across the plains and mountains. I have to admit I'm surprised by the comments on the fit and cut. The pair I received fit perfectly and were very comfortable. I have several pairs of cycling shorts that are three times the price and I find them excellent for the price. I have updated my rating to 5 stars. It is very important to make sure you choose the right size, otherwise you will be dissatisfied with any cycling shorts. After 50 miles, the shorts felt tight in all the right places. I love the feel and fit at the bottom of the shorts without bunching or riding up. It's worth what I paid and I'll be ordering a couple or 2 more.

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
