I had to review this item because the terrible reviews I read made me really suspicious of using this vinyl. Being my first time using iron on vinyl, after reading the reviews I was petrified and convinced that even if I tried to use this material I would ruin my material. It went through without any problems and looks great! I used parchment paper over the clear backing the vinyl has just to make sure it won't stick to my iron. I put the iron on the silk. I held it to the parchment paper for about 30 seconds, pressed firmly, then removed the parchment paper and placed the iron directly on the plastic base for another 15 seconds. I slowly removed the plastic from the vinyl and it came off with no problem. I am happy with the vinyl and will use again. Just take your time, heat up the iron and set the ultra high settings and cut it with my cricket maker. I just set it to iron on vinyl and applied more pressure and it cuts with no problem.
