I bought this product to use with a Chromebook which I needed to provide an Ethernet connection for. The network I'm connecting to has some firewalls and security features in place, but I doubt this has affected overall performance. First, the adapter barely recognized that an Ethernet cable was plugged into it, much less that it was actually providing service. The lights that normally come on when a connection is made between the ethernet and the adapter often don't even blink when I plug it in. Also, I've used different adapters with the same laptop and network and they worked fine. My general conclusion is that contrary to what is advertised, this adapter either doesn't work with Chromebooks or just doesn't work at all. The exchange would be too expensive, so I'm just disappointed.
