I firmly believe in the right tool for the right job. For my long runs (10M+) I prefer to wear shoes with good support like Mizuno's Wave Rider. For shorter runs, I prefer lighter, more flexible shoes. I've tried minimalist shoes before, but I didn't like the feel of every stone on the road. These shoes are a good compromise. They fall between minimalism and supportive; They're flexible and lightweight, but have just enough sole to offer some protection and comfort. I have a wide foot so the first few runs gave me some trouble. After fiddling with the laces, the shoe fitted well (see picture). I recommend them for sub-five mile runs and speed training.
