Works right out of the box I didn't even read the instructions, just plug it in and once you get the car it runs within a minute or so less, it shows the speed. I think it takes a little time to pick up the satellite signal, but I've just noticed that I don't even notice it, maybe it's faster now, or I just don't analyze it the way I did When I first installed it and tested everything. Pleased with the change in rear tire size/rear axle ratio and never have to program anything to compensate.
