collar appears to be working. Maybe it works too well. The barking problem always occurred when guests arrived. As soon as I put it on my dog, I noticed that the status light was flashing green every five seconds. When it barks, it will turn red for about a full second, during which time it will send out a corrective signal. So far, so good. However, any loud noise annoys them, so the poor dog gets a correction when the door slams or a book falls on the floor. We noticed when he was shaking and standing motionless in the corner. Apparently speaking out loud must have repeatedly triggered this thing and it was traumatized unbeknownst to us. We took it off him and now we only put it on when waiting for guests and take it off as soon as they arrive. This strategy seems to have taught him the desired message fairly quickly.
