PetSafe Ultrasonic Dog Bark Training Collar: Static-Free Correction for Large and Small Dogs Review

We adopted a rescue dog who loves to bark at her husband. We tried this product which worked for several hours. Then the dog noticed, ignored it. According to the manufacturer, we took the collar off for a few days and then put it back on. The dog barked his hearty bark and we moved on to the next.

Tried as an alternative to the "shock" bark collar. It was completely useless on my dog. Even after several days of acclimatization, she had no change in behavior. I'm not blaming the product, just my dog. The product looked well made and designed and came with informative easy to follow instructions.

My dog had a vibrating collar. It seems to have worked. But he's still barking. A lot of. So I decided to try the sonic collar. This surprised him the first day or two, so he stopped barking. But once he got used to it, he kept barking. I have yet to find a nonviolent way to stop his barking. I tried 3 different bark collars. I'm so pissed.

I bought this device because we have a home ultrasound device that will stop my dog from barking. I received the device and tried to insert batteries. The battery door would not open and I pulled and due to the way this unit is made it would not open. I tried to open the device with a small flat head screwdriver, when I tried to open the battery compartment it broke. I would avoid this product due to the poor quality. I don't know if it will work as all I have is a piece of junk I can't return.
