Expected more for $$$

I was surprised when I first saw this. I got the impression that it was layered and staggered to prevent passage. This is a very simple single sheet of metal mesh with a flat surface formed into a common shape to arch through the mesh. As this is a powder coating I hope it doesn't crack or peel. The space in the grid has much larger gaps than I expected. It will not stop pebbles or pea sized bugs from entering 100% of the time. Better than no protection at all, but I'm not sure if it's worth the $180 I paid. I think the true price should be at most $60 or $70 (this is with powder paint). Installation wasn't terrible, but it's not recommended for a beginner to do it alone. The instructions are halfway useless. For the amount they are asking they should at least provide both more detailed instructions and spare nuts/bolts. They're small and easy to lose, the bolts are cheaply made and can work loose so I don't recommend using power tools to tighten or replace with solid steel bolts and locknuts. Pros: Some protection from dirt, the mesh seems very sturdy. Cons: Overpriced, poor instructions, average installation skills, poor quality screws and no parts, mesh gaps too big. The end result looks good, but could be just as good with cheaper kits at a third of the price. .
