Great price on an interesting object.

Bought this as an accent for my office. The ball is solid, clear and looks expensive. The stand looks and feels comparatively cheap.I find it hilarious that the base is a lazy susan. Why? I really would like to know why spinning it would be needed when it's a perfect sph
