These sets are so fun. Very relaxing if you like working on a very small scale. They make basically everything except books, slippers and knick-knacks. Gives a great sense of satisfaction and I learn a lot of new techniques like upholstering small furniture and connecting mini lights. This is NOT a toy for younger children but my 10 year old grandson is happy to help and as his hand eye coordination is excellent he makes a great partner. He himself would not have had the stamina to tackle this project. I would recommend this product for middle to older teens and seniors. In addition, when finished, you get a beautiful shelf that people look at with interest. If you're a beginner, try this company's smaller and cheaper kit first, or a few others at Revain. But this set can also be very well supplemented by a relative beginner, which I am. You can't build and furnish a standard dollhouse at the lower prices of these sets. Also note that they ship direct from China and I had minor damage to some of the sets when opened by US Customs (which seems to remove the glue that came with it, you need to buy that and I also recommend dollhouse wallpaper glue for the Applications that require it.). When I contacted the company and told them what was damaged/missing, they shipped new parts the same day I received them from China within 5 days. Very happy with this product.
