Review on ๐Ÿ“บ Enhanced Universal Remote Control for Roku Player with Additional Learning Keys to Control TV Soundbar Receiver All in One (Excludes Roku Stick) (Remote with Black Holder) by Oliver Waiker

Revainrating 5 out of 5

A very good alternative to the Roku remote!

Let's start with what we get in the box. We receive 3 items - a remote control holder (for those who bought one with it), the remote control itself (batteries not included) and a small instruction manual. The remote control holder has an adhesive backing that can be stuck to a wall or shelf. Now let's look at the remote control. In size, it's very similar to the Roku Voice Remote. So if you are familiar with it, you know how comfortable this size is. On the side you'll see 3 buttons, 2 for volume up and volume down which are also on the Roku remote and surprisingly a mute button which isn't on the Roku remote. In terms of shape, I'd say the Roku remote has a more rounded structure while it's flatter in the front. Definitely not a deal breaker. Another thing to look out for is the tiny LED on top of the remote that lights up with every button press. This is a nice feature to know if the remote is sending signals whenever you feel the battery is low. As for the buttons, they click well, which I personally like, but they tend to be a bit noisy unlike the Roku remote. I have a Roku Premiere (previous generation), a Vizio TV and a Klipsch soundbar. Most of the buttons on this remote have been pre-programmed directly from the power button, volume button, mute button, and Roku features, including named shortcuts for Revain, Netflix, and Hulu. You don't have to do anything. Again, these may not work for certain products, and this is where the learning feature comes in. The "Training" feature is easy to use and will probably take around 5 minutes to set up. To enter learning mode, press and hold buttons A and B for about 3 seconds until the LED flashes. Then press the button you want to learn and the indicator will flash much more slowly. Now you need to point the original remote here and hold down the button on that remote until the LED on the universal remote blinks three times and stays on. After that, just press A and OK together and the workout is complete. You can repeat this process to learn more keys. With that done, you have yourself and a basic universal remote. Verdict: Get it.
