What a joke. The only thing this block is good at is giving off that uncomfortable bright orange glow that makes you think you should be feeling warm. We mounted it on the wall above our patio table about five feet above the table. We didn't feel any heat from the two chairs. On the two chairs at the edges of the heater you could feel the heat on one side of your face, that was all. So I installed it a meter above the table and figured if we could feel a little heat we could handle the bright glow of the heater right in the face. The only difference was that people sitting at the end of the chair again felt a little more warmth on one side of their face. I could put my hand right under the heater and it was warm but not hot. From this distance he should have burned my hand. So we did an experiment. I installed an old bathroom heater on the wall under an expensive AZ patio heater and WOW what a difference! Everyone at the table felt a pleasant warmth. Looks a little strange, but this will be our new patio heater. Costs $5 at our local thrift store, or you can buy a new one for $25. We are returning this item.
