Great for this size and price but only if you know what you are doing

This is a portable professional tool. Don't buy it if you just want an espresso machine, buy a Breville Bambino instead. Don't buy it, if you just want good coffee, order Cometeer. Buy this one if you love crafting and will spend half a bag of coffee to get the perfect shot. The packaging is great: - just a slightly tapered crust that can hold 16-19 grams of coffee - a clean portafilter to monitor the extraction - a small funnel and compact tamper to align with that funnel, it's amazing - even a tiny WDT tool to break your lumps! - everything is easy to disassemble and clean What you absolutely need: 1. Accurate scales (I use TIMEMORE Plus)2. Good grinder (with Normcore V2) Difficulty level: 1. Dark roast: not very difficult, start with tech.2. Medium Roast: Chewy, everything needs to be as hot as possible and shots need to be longer, I do 16 grams in, 40-42 grams out.3. Light Roast: Impossible. Your beans should be fresh BUT NOT TOO FRESH! At least 1 week after roasting, that's important! Maximum 2 months. Here's my process (medium roast, fairly fine grind): 1. Preheat the main unit, pour in boiling water and close the lid. I do not attach a basket.2. While heating, grind coffee (I use a smaller dose of about 16 grams) and put it in the basket.3. Break up the lumps with the WDT tool and press the funnel for a good leveling. You can compact again without a hopper if you want better compaction. Don't forget to place pucks on the screen. Portafilter ready.4. Boil the kettle again.5. Pump out at least some water from the device so that hot water remains in the pump. Then unscrew the cap and replace the water with freshly boiled water.6. Screw in the portafilter, pump 10 times and wait 20-30 seconds.7. Pump evenly so the flow is consistent to the end (40-42 grams per cup). Do not forget that the washing strainer can also be disassembled for cleaning, the rubber will come off.
