Description of ☕ WACACO Picopresso: Portable Espresso Maker with Protective Case - Pro-level Specialty Coffee Machine for Ultra-fine Grind - Manually Operated Travel Coffee Maker

With ultra-fine grind, the Picopresso produces emblematic creamy shots with dense flavors and stunning aromas. Picopresso is the most compact and pro-oriented of our portable espresso machines. Thanks to the wide commercial coffee basket and super-fine coffee grounds, Picopresso produces an extraction akin to a lever espresso machine: rich, syrupy, and balanced. The authentic cafe-quality espresso will rival any expensive high-end machine. This specialty coffee espresso machine features a naked portafilter, so users will see delicious creamy espresso flowing directly from a standard 52mm 18 grams stainless steel filter basket during the brewing process. Manual operation only. No battery/electricity need. Designed for reliability, the Picopresso is the ultimate portable espresso machine. Made from metals and robust materials its crafting quality is second to none. Noted: Commercial pre-ground coffee will not work well to extract a nice espresso with crema. The use of fresh coffee bean is highly recommanded for best result. Dialing-in (adjusting the grind size) is part of the process to achieve perfect extraction.

Great for this size and price but only if you know what you are doing

This is a portable professional tool. Don't buy it if you just want an espresso machine, buy a Breville Bambino instead. Don't buy it, if you just want good coffee, order Cometeer. Buy this one if you love crafting and will spend half a bag of coffee to get the perfect shot. The packaging is great: - just a slightly tapered crust that can hold 16-19 grams of coffee - a clean portafilter to monitor the extraction - a small funnel and compact tamper to align with that funnel, it's amazing - even…

REALLY GOOD for manual espresso machines

This is a really good portable espresso machine. Elegant. Easy to use. ; there are the instructions. The small and odd color choices make the instructions hard to read.

I don't understand.: Coffee, tea and espresso

In my opinion, this really isn't a very good portable espresso machine. Does not grind coffee beans. Doesn't heat water. So it doesn't make espresso preparation any easier than a mocha pot, or even more convenient. I was hoping for something I could throw in my backpack and take with me on a hike. That's not it. You still need to heat the water in another container. At this point, simply assemble the moka pot, brew an espresso the old-fashioned way, and pour in the grappa.

Cool machine, steep learning curve

This is a very small espresso machine. He is quite picky about the fineness and amount of grind, which should be finer than a regular espresso grind. My first attempts weren't successful, but I'm slowly getting used to it. The need to use an ultra-thin base limits portability somewhat, but it doesn't diminish the device's appeal. Maybe with more practice I'll be able to get a better shot than my DeLonghi, but after a few tries it's certainly possible to get decent shots. All in all, a very…

NOT RETURNABLE! suitable for coffee, tea and espresso

First of all, it is a beautiful device. It is very well made and comes in nice packaging. BUT it is extremely complex and time consuming to use. I'm not kidding, there are 23 steps to brewing a shot of espresso and 6 steps to the cleaning process. Not to mention I made a huge mess and you must have a kitchen scale to measure the exact amount of ground coffee AND the exact amount of yield! good enough. So I set my $150 grinder to maximum fine, but it still wasn't fine enough to get crema, and I…
