This product sticks very well to the dashboard of my truck. The dashboard is designed with a recessed flat area, which already has a non-slip pad on it, so it won't slip at all between it and the non-slip base of this phone holder. My concern is that my phone (iPhone 8plus) is large and may be too heavy for this product. There is a clamp on the back of the mount that needs to be tightened, but it's plastic. I have to pull this button pretty hard to keep my phone from falling in the holder. Every time I get nervous because it seems like it's wearing off. But we have to give him credit as he hasn't disappointed in the first few months. I hope he keeps it up. If they used something other than a plastic collar I would have no hesitation in giving 5 stars. However, if it continues to work on my phone after the hot southern summer, I will change this rating to 5 stars. The time will show. Fingers crossed that my fears are unfounded.
