Dubious software, broken English manual, unlabeled packaging - works like a charm!

When I opened the box, found the product was unbranded, the installation instructions were a broken link and looked at the broken English in the windows install/software instructions I thought I had made a terrible mistake mistake. Thankfully, the instructions and software are still intuitive. I have this on Windows and Ubuntu on my dual boot machine. The Ubuntu instructions were easy and didn't even require a reboot. Sometimes I've recently moved my office to a garage that has 2/3 of the wall and maybe 30 feet between the computer and the router. I get a signal strength of "96%" and the same Wi-Fi speed as a MacBook Pro sitting next to my router. (I have 160 Mbit/s). I used an ethernet-over-power solution that worked pretty well (but not at full speed) until I moved to a garage. This router can introduce some latency, but I've had no issues with streaming, downloading large files, etc. In summary, the cost savings in building this product came from optimizing the software and hardware. It's not pretty, but it works very well.

Like a tiny pair of old fashioned "rabbit ears" on old television sets, really works though
