Bought to replace a worn out TIMEX TIMER (1 BATTERY. 5 YEARS). It's just as easy to use, if not more so. BIG numbers, easy setup and very loud alarm clock. I use it not only for cooking but also for washing. That way, without looking at the clock, I know when to wheel the laundry in and out of the washer and dryer (suitable for where others need a machine. and it's like not being inattentive and doing the laundry for hours leaves lying around) Timex is no longer made.
