Review on 🎣 Highly Optimized HOOK2 Fish Finder by Terry Gernes

Easy to install, easy to use

I bought this unit for my eight foot fiberglass stroller. Since I am mounting the stroller on a trolley, I epoxyed the sensor to the inside of the stroller under the seat bracket. The display is on the inside of the case on the left side and is easily accessible. The device replaced a device from another manufacturer with a lower reading. The device turned out to be easy to use and gives me a lot of information when fishing on lakes. Although the device doesn't have a "map" of the lake, the GPS feature allows me to mark locations, leave a trail to see where I've been in case I want to go back, see my boat's speed when I mine small use 2.5. The unit gives a good picture of bottom structure especially algae growth and as I am using the unit with Fish ID off it shows fish in arcs, I downloaded an online manual for initial setup and help with the 'set up' unit for maximum efficiency. My only complaint is that the unit says it has an audible alert feature for shallow water or other custom settings. My device is completely silent, no alarm. This is really not a problem in my small stroller and at the low speeds I drive, but there can be problems when used where signaling might be needed, say on a small keeled sailboat on a flat lake . All in all, the device costs $20 more than a regular "fish finder" because of the base GPS and additional information.
