Review on Enhance Your Pond with the Adjustable Flow Flexzion Pond Pump Submersible (800GPH) by Elaine Olek

This pump has been in use for a week now and is working well. Build quality is very good and it looks like it's pretty immune to clogging given the spacing of the entrance grilles. Some of the reviews I've read have said that the reported flow rates were overly optimistic, and that seems to be the case. I have a 300 gallon pond so I figured an 800 gallon per hour pump would do, but the flow of this pump seems to be less than advertised but still enough for my needs. Plan accordingly. The flow control doesn't seem to make much of a difference whether it's set high or low. The pump comes with a variety of outlet fittings, but nothing that connects to the 1/2 inch hose I use. It was very easy to pour epoxy onto the barbed drip fitting into one of the included fittings to fit my hose size. Works great.
