Review on Frigidaire Electric Oven Bake Element by Paul Walton

Revainrating 4 out of 5

All good except connector alignment

I bought this for my Tappan TEF361ESB because the bake and roast function was not working. I figured even if a new baking element didn't solve the problem, it would be nice to have a spare element on hand. If you want to be sure that the element is the problem, you can disconnect the old element and use a multimeter to 1) check continuity of the suspected bad element and 2) put the oven in BAKE mode and check to see if the spade terminals are coming out the holes in the back of the oven to see if you have voltage readings. The only downside to this product, as mentioned, is that the blades for the spatula connections are parallel to the back wall of the oven (not perpendicular) making it difficult to get through the holes in the back wall. Additional Info: FYI, replacing the item did NOT fix the issue. I had a blown relay from a timer/clock controller. After replacing the timer with an Electrolux 316557114 Clock Timer, the baking and roasting function worked again.

Pros
  • The Frigidaire Baking Element sits on the bottom of the oven and provides heat for baking
Cons
  • Something else
