Review on RULLINE Oil Catch Can Kit for 2011-2019 Ford F150: Passenger πŸ›’οΈ Side Oil Separator Reservoir Tank with Breather Filter - Aluminum, Black, 400ml by Dennis Wood

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fits my 99 RAV4

Installation: Find a spot large enough to stand upright and secure it there. It comes with a short piece of really crappy tubing that I threw away. I had a 6AN stainless steel coated teflon hose left over from my remote oil filter project and used that instead. Of course, just use any quality fuel line. It comes with 3/8" and 1/2" hose ridges. Use these depending on the hose size your PCV uses. You run the hose from the PCV to the "IN" on the catcher and the "OUT" on the catcher goes to the PCV fitting on the intake manifold. If you buy one with a filter, don't use it in a PCV system, you'll just break the vacuum and cause engine problems. The filter is for pre-PCV vehicles that simply had a vent from the valve cover or head to the floor. I put a small piece of stainless steel cleaning sponge in the trap tank's baffle chamber at the recommendation of others. This is to help trap more contaminants and give the liquid more surface area to condense. As far as I can see there are no disadvantages.
