The player sent to me was model S1700 not S1500. I don't think there's a huge difference anyway, and yet it's a great player. I have a UK Blu-Ray recovery of Horror of Dracula that won't play on any of my other free players, but it works fine on this one. I've tried several UK and Italian DVDs I have and they all play correctly. As for the player itself, it's pretty good. I have a similar Sony Blu Ray that has served me well for a number of years. The player is much more compact than it appears in the photo, measuring only about 9 inches wide and 7 inches deep. It comes preloaded with a number of internet players like Prime Video, Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, etc. The main downside is the lack of wireless internet access; I use ethernet around the house so it's not a problem for me, but if wireless internet is needed then you might want to drop this player, otherwise it's a great out-of-region player.
