The player sent to me was model S1700 not S1500. I don't think there's a huge difference anyway, and yet it's a great player. I have a UK Blu-Ray recovery of Horror of Dracula that won't play on any of my other free players, but it works fine on this one. I've tried several UK and Italian DVDs I have and they all play correctly. As for the player itself, it's pretty good. I have a similar Sony Blu Ray that has served me well for a number of years. I bought this because having a region-free Blu-ray player was very important to me and this aspect to work OK.
