This worked very well as a replacement for the key + fob that comes with the 2006 Scion Xb. I followed the online instructions to program the lock and then took it to a Toyota dealership. The parts department cut the key out based on my VIN for free. Just asked for my driver's license. I've been using this key for a month now and it works great as a key. The remote unlock takes some time to get used to the layout, but it works as it should. Replacement keychains are cheaper, but it's nice to get rid of that bulky keychain dangling from your keyring.
