Works after 200 miles "Italian tuning " driving

My project: Boxster s 2001 105k miles, I have 3/10 turning ability. I was driving up a hill and suddenly the CEL came on (bad), then the CEL flashed (no time to stop and shut down) and the car sounded like a dirty 2 cylinder motorcycle. I went to ebay, bought a code reader for $7, used the android app 'torque light', bought this part (ignition coil) and was able to reset my CEL with the torque app and roughly repaired the engine when I replaced the coil pulled. I heard a pop (like a plunger being removed from a wet wall) and the coil fell in two - well, Shelley, there was a mistake. It's full there, we pick up the beetle by the ass, take off the wheel and trunk, then you can just pull out the coil for cylinder #1 with both hands. I'm incredibly glad it worked. I really thought I could roast the motor through the IMS bearing (drink! :) based on the instantaneous change in sound. FML. turned into a shot :) I used 1.5 tons of Port Freight Alum for $80. Jack. and wheel chocks. Lots of YouTube videos will help you not to cross spark plugs with aluminum - this is general advice. - John from Wisconsin
