My brush was thrown in the trash, but I hesitated because such good brushes are no longer made. Instead I got this brush cleaning kit. The metal cleaner worked wonders immediately. Then I realized I was holding a very clean brush in my hands. Then I massaged the brush under running water with washing-up liquid, rinsed it out and the brush looked like new. I can now prevent hair buildup in my brush by cleaning it more regularly. Using a clean hair comb is a good idea, and that's okay. I highly recommend it and hope it helps you in your decision.
