Review on πŸ’§ Dura Faucet DF-SA100L-CP: Chrome RV Shower Faucet Valve Diverter with Hot/Cold Handles - Efficient and Durable! by Isaiah Edgar

Does exactly what it takes!

I installed this in our 2017 Newmar Bay Star 3208 to replace the original single lever faucet. A faucet with two handles is a godsend for temperature equalization! The OE faucet seemed to have 1/8 inch between painfully hot and stupidly cold; both streams can now be set individually to the correct temperature. Removing the old unit consisted of loosening the showerhead hose with a box wrench and removing the four Phillips head. Screws, then carefully cut the factory silicone sealant to separate the factory faucet from the shower screen. On our Newmar, the plumbing lines are a simple threaded connection, so just unscrew the fittings and pull the old faucet out all the way. Scratch lightly (with a plastic tool) to remove the old sealer from the shower wall, and scrub thoroughly with some type of shower cleaner to remove any residual dirt underneath. Installation is the reverse order. Installation: Apply a continuous thin bead of silicone sealant to the back of the light where it will be attached to the wall, carefully reconnect the hoses and hand tighten as firmly as possible, secure the light to the wall without moving them (so as not to damage the sealant) and refit the Phillips screws. Do whatever is necessary to remove any excess sealant that may have been squeezed out, then wait for it to dry completely. The faucet matches the decor of the truck's shower stall so well that it looks like it's only original equipment. It works much better than the original equipment; 10/10 would do again!
