Review on Advanced AOPEN 32HC5QR Pbiipx: Curved FullHD Monitor with FREESYNC Technology - Stunning 165Hz Refresh Rate by Eduardo Jacobs

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Better build quality than its Acer cousin (pretty screen/guts). Specifications are better than ViewSonic.

If you're looking for a 32-inch 1440p curved monitor, I'd recommend both Acer and ViewSonic with the same spec. All three of these monitors are priced the same, aOpen is actually made by Acer's parent company, which has OEM parts for Intel. My setup consists of an i7 8700/RTX 2070 and with the latest Nvidia drivers Freesync works fine on this monitor. Very happy with it. It also has a 3.5mm audio output so you can connect a good 2.1 channel system and enjoy the sound coming straight from your HDMI/Display port. To be clear, there are no speakers on this monitor.

Pros
  • Robust construction
Cons
  • The monitor makes an annoying beeping sound when switched off.
