A few years ago we bought a new electric range with a black metal cover where the burners were. I was immediately disgusted at how much work it takes to keep a metal surface clean. Cooking sprays, food splashes, etc. Windex was fine as I had to brush off any streaks after use and then dry thoroughly. A relative suggested this and it works very well. Now I love my oven again. The black countertop is glossy and clean as it should be and looks very classy in my white kitchen.
