I have a 2000 Volvo S40 (first owner). Over the years I've dropped my keys too many times for my remote to not like it. They cracked, splintered, broke in half. The dealer just told me it would be expensive to replace, so I've been fooling around with chipped, broken key fobs - see you this week! This product was easy to assemble even for me! I had to do a little tinkering to disassemble the old keyfobs and connect the new ones. The only trick: use the buttons that come with the new keychain. I used the original buttons with the new key fob and the remote continued to lock the car. I think the locking button doesn't quite fit. When I swapped out the old knobs for the new ones, everything worked great! Aha! Now I don't have to rewind the next time I take the keys out of my computer bag, the key fob falls apart. I still breathe a sigh of relief every time I pull out my new keychain. Don't hesitate - if you need this keychain, take it!
