I have installed several Curt harnesses and have always had good luck with them. Much better than the old way of splicing. Here are some tips. First, I don't like crimp connectors. I've seen too many fall apart I solder all the connections and seal them with shrink tubing. Maybe that's an exaggeration, but I've never had a solder joint fall off. Second, the double sided tape they give is not the best quality. Take a roll of 3M Heavy Duty Mounting Tape and it will stick snugly. Third. I cover all my wires with black wire/tube to protect them. I can't imagine these wires being exposed under a car etc. Get 1/4", 3/8" and 1/2" pipes. You will need 20 feet of 1/4 for the power wire that goes to the battery. Also, the kit comes with about 8 couplers. I have about 50 Get some zip ties in different sizes. I have hundreds of them and use them around the house. Then fill the connector pin holes with Dialectric Grease to prevent corrosion and moisture and prevent future problems. As for the floor that's how the end of the bolt protrudes into the taillight cavity on my Tacoma, get a suitable nut and washer, peel away the paint where the ground lug makes contact with it and here's your bottom with no further holes in Drill your car Have fun!
