Review on 🍺 MRbrew Keg CO2 Regulator: Ultimate Control and Safety for Kegerators with 0-60 PSI Working Pressure and 0-3000 PSI Tank Pressure by Ryan Eppinger

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Good regulator, small prong - upgraded to one star

Overall this is a good unit. Easy to read, easy to customize. The only problem is that the tube burr appears a bit small. It says it's a 5/16 fitting, which is the standard size for a CO2 line, but it's significantly smaller than the other 5/16 fittings and the hose feels pretty loose. I was able to secure it with the supplied clips but I'm concerned about leaks. I think the tip is actually for 3/16 or maybe 1/4" hose. Just changing the fitting or swapping out the hose would do the trick. Right now I'm using my existing 5/16 hose and barbed fitting, but I can replace it if it runs out of gas quickly.- Updated to a lower rating. After using it for a while I ran into the same problems that other people have complained about. The pressure relief valve starts to leak and the regulator can't not maintain normal operating pressure (8-12psi) I have to regularly check my regulator now and fiddle with the dial as it often drops to zero at seemingly random times Shame there is a lot to like about this unit but ultimately if it can't handle pressure and suffers from leaks, it's not very useful.

  • Home brewing and winemaking
Cons
  • Not automatic
