I recently bought this to muffle the noise of a cat exhaust pipe, installed it on the front of the pipe in front of the muffler and it gave a nice raspy growl. My car used to sound like an overclocked Honda, but now the sound is much better. Make sure if you're using the clamps you're installing them on and there aren't any leaks, go through them first. I didn't tighten one side of the yoke evenly and it was leaking quite a bit so you could see the black coming out around it. on my new stainless steel exhaust system.
